Things to Bring & Prepare for Birth

Getting excited?!! YES!!! And I’m SO afraid of missing out and forgetting to bring anything. In another day or two, if my baby still don’t want to come out on her own, I’ll be induced! Which means she’ll be forced to come out! So now, it’s last minute packing and more packing.

I’m not the hardworking type and so where possible, I try to bring as little as possible. So here’s the checklist for the minimum things to bring to the hospital:

  • NRIC (of the mummy- and daddy-to-be)
  • Marriage certificate, if any
  • 2 sets of pyjamas (since need to stay at least 2 nights), preferably those with open fronts and loose fittings
  • A pair of slippers
  • Toiletries
  • Pads (for extremely heavy flow) – I seriously wonder how heavy is it going to be… O.O
  • Nursing bras
  • Disposable panties
  • Any other things to keep yourself entertained
  • For the baby (to be used on the day of going back)
    • Clothes (easy to wear type)
    • Mittens
    • Socks/booties
    • Soft cap
    • Blanket

Well, I’m glad I still got the chance to have some last minute checks. But seriously, all these should already be prepared by Week 35, if not earlier, as you never know when the baby will just suddenly POP out and say HI to you! *extremely excited!*
