Once again, the thought of having an exit plan raged through my head. I had to go. This place ain’t for me to stay, for long. Especially with the current team of people. But with the Project B in plan, and the lil’ hub exploring his new path, I can only plan, and do it behind the main scene for now, and endure.
Just received a depressing email from one of the managers. Giving the benefit of the doubt, he must have had too many stabs behind his back such that he sent such email out – “I want to highlight that this change is not approved by me and B, and will not be responsible for the any audit checks related to this change.”
WOW. He attained the highest level of CYA, a.k.a. Cover Your Ass.
No. I did not send anything at all to him with regards to this change. And I’d already taken note of this a loooooong loooooong time ago. But never in my mind would I expect him to write this and send it to me and my boss. Ouch.
Every man for himself. Yes, now I do truly understand. Same goes for the government. Would they stay and fight for the country just like in the movies? Or they would take the first flight and fly away?
Life isn’t as simple anymore. Circumstances make it even worse. They bring out the worse in you – selfishness, cruelty, back-stabbings and what not.
When the top ain’t good, the bottom won’t be any better. But how to? How can the top be changed? When she’s blinded by her powers and forces it into the mouth of her subordinates. And the squashed managers started whacking their downline even more, yet at the same time, fighting instead of helping one another.
