Thoughts – Gone, with the Depression

It was supposed to be a relatively nice morning except that when I switched on the FB app, there appears to be a number of similar news – Robin Williams had passed away, in a suspected suicide due to severe depression.

Another great actor had lost himself to this sickness. Why? Is there no help for depression? Or did he rejected the help? Whatever it is, I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.

Many a times, people look at this sickness very lightly. I for one, am one that can easily slip into slight depression if not aware. Thankfully, most of the time, I do seek for help from my close friends once I realised something is amiss. It’s not difficult to identify. Basically you lost interest in everything and you will cry for nothing. And then on worse days, you simply think that leaving this world would be good as it will simply end whatever agony you are thinking/hallucinating/experiencing.

Talk. Talk to people who will listen. Identify those that will be there for you. Stay away from those who thinks that you are only behaving crazily. Do not be alone. Seek for professional help if really needed. That’s my advice to you.

“No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.” ~ Robin Williams

“I used to think the worst thing in life is to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.” ~ Robin Williams

Somehow, I can understand how he feels and what makes him said that… because, I do sometimes feel I’m almost alone too… I’m glad I have my little milkie… ^^

R.I.P…. Robin Williams…
